We Are Killing Ourselves, were born in 2001 in Almeirim, Portugal, when a circle of friends with similar musical influences, set out to create their own brand of storming metal music. The first demo “Outrage” was recorded in 2002 and since then the band has reached a wider audience and has been able to establish a great relationship with those who have become the band's followers. By 2004 We Are Killing Ourselves recorded an independent EP by the name of “Symbiotic Existence”, produced by Daniel Cardoso. Then began a new crusade on the Portuguese music landscape. With four years of existence and over 200 live performances, sharing stages with Soulfly, Sepultura, (Hed)pe, Moonspell, Municipal Waste, Bizarra Locomotiva, Benediction, Obituary, Textures, Pestilence, Aborted, Ramp and participating in many summer festivals throughout the country, We Are Killing Ourselves have become recognized and respected as one of the hardest working bands in Portugal. …. The band took some time off to reflect and start recording their debut album at Ultrasound Studios.
