    Dev is born Deepak Adhikari, December 25, 1982, is an actor, producer, entertainer, singer and Indian film writer, known for his works in Bengali cinema and, more recently, for a politician. He owns Dev Entertainment Ventures Pvt. Ltd. He is also the most paid Bengali actor.

    Born in Keshpur, he made his debut in the movie Agnishapath in 2006. Dev faced criticism after the film’s release, which turned out to be a critical and commercial flop. His main role in I Love You alongside Payal Sarkar was his breakthrough. Directed by Ravi Kinnagi, the film was a critical failure, but was a commercial success and quickly revived his career. Despite his success, Dev had no work for the next fourteen months.

    He is back on the big screen with Premer Kahini, alongside Koel Mullick, the first with whom he then plays in many movies. A remake of the hit Kannada Mungaru Male, the film was a moderate success. Dev achieved another breakthrough in Challenge, which opened its doors to critical and commercial success. He received the Anandalok Awards for Best Actor and Best Action Hero for his performance in the film. He continued to achieve commercial success

    Deepak Adhikari (born 25 December 1982), known by his stage nameDev, is an Indian actor, producer, singer and screenwriter, known for his works in Bengali cinema[1] and more recently, a politician.[2][3] He is also a Member of Parliament in the Lok Sabha representing Ghatal (Lok Sabha constituency) since 2014, as a candidate from the All India Trinamool Congress party. He owns the production house Dev Entertainment Ventures.

    Born in Keshpur, he made his acting debut in the 2006 film Agnishapath opposite Rachna Banerjee. Dev faced flak after the film was released, and it turned out to be a critical and commercial flop. His starring role in I Love You (2007) opposite Payal Sarkar was his breakthrough.
