Saint Natalia was an early Christian martyr of the 4th century and the wife of Saint Adrian. Together, they lived in Nicomedia. Adrian, a Roman officer, converted to Christianity and suffered martyrdom. Natalia stood by her husband when he was imprisoned and tortured, supporting him with prayers until his death. After his martyrdom, Natalia fled to avoid persecution and lived in secrecy as a Christian.
Natalia is venerated as the patron saint of wives and widows, especially those seeking comfort and courage during times of persecution and loss. Her devotion to her husband and deep trust in God make her a model of faithful partnership and Christian womanhood.
