Shahnaz Husain (born 5 November ) is an Indian businesswoman and the founder, chairperson and managing director of, The Shahnaz Husain Group. She has received international acclaim for pioneering the Herbal beauty care movement and taking the Indian herbal heritage of Ayurveda worldwide.[1][2] In , she was awarded the Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian award, by the Government of India for her contribution to the fields of trade and industry.[3]
Husain was invited by Harvard Business School to speak on her success story of establishing an international brand without commercial advertising and has also become a Harvard Case Study which is included in its curriculum.[4][5] She has also lectured to students at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), University of Oxford and London School of Economics.[6] Shahnaz has also represented India at President Barack Obama's World Summit for Entrepreneurs. In , she won Success Magazine's "World's Greatest Woman Entrepreneur" award.[7] She has walked the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival and has spoken at both the House of Lords and House of Commons in the British Parliament.

Syed Shahnawaz Hussain is an Indian politician and a member of the Central Election Committee of Bharatiya Janata Party.[1] He is one of the national spokespersons of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Hussain was the Minister of Textiles and the Minister Civil Aviation in the Atal Bihari Vajpayee government.[2][3][4] He has been the Minister of Industries of the Government of Bihar from 9 February to 9 August [5]
Personal life
[edit]Hussain was born on 12 December to Syed Nasir Hussain and Nasima Khatoon in Supaul, Bihar. He has a Diploma in Engineering (Electronics) from B.S.S.E., Supaul and ITI, Pusa, Delhi. He married Renu Sharma on 12 December , with whom he has two sons.[6][7]
Political career
[edit]Hussain was elected to the 13th Lok Sabha in from Kishanganj constituency. He was appointed as a Minister of State in the Third Vajpayee ministry and held various portfolios such as food processing industries, youth affairs and sports and human resource development at different times.
