Former National Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Yaw Boateng Gyan has thrown his weight behind Special Prosecutor, Martin Amidu to deal with corrupt officials regardless of the party they belong.
Speaking in an interview with Dr. Cann on Happy FM’s EPA HOA DABEN Show, Mr Gyan insisted that the Special Prosecutor should not discriminate when passing judgment on corrupt officials.
“Whether NPP or NDC you have to be dealt with,” Mr. Gyan said on Happy FM.
“Corruption has no party colours and if you are corrupt, you have to be dealt with and since one is bold enough to steal when he is in power, why must they panic or fear the law?
Gyan was asked if the former ruling party is opposing the appointment of Mr. Amidu, he answered, “We the NDC are not panicking because of Martin Amidu’s appointment.”
“We protested, yes, but some NPP members are also opposing and I can mention Kennedy Agyapong as one. Ken is also not happy with his appointment, not only NDC but some section of Ghanaians as well.”
